• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

Screenshots (FS2024)

I've just posted updates for these three guys to FS.to - very, very minor stuff for the most part, probably never noticeable to anyone but me, but I can now live and sleep more comfortably knowing they've been addressed. The most significant changes are to the Planes of Fame example (the dark green one), with which the headrest/rollover structure is now accurately painted black (as I had also done for my three subsequent Zero repaints), and the paint is now a bit more glossy, to be more accurate (which also makes the paint appear accurately a bit darker in the sim).

Screenshots taken while flying over/around Willow Run Airport, rekindling some of the days of old when both the Collings Foundation and Commemorative Air Force's B-24s flew together at Willow Run for the 2008 Thunder Over Michigan Airshow. Unfortunately, since Collings stopped touring, their B-24 'Witchcraft' has been in indefinite storage in Florida. According to Collings themselves, once the expansion to their American Heritage Museum is completed, the B-24 will be flown to Massachusetts one last time and then be placed on permanent static display at the museum.

Some more B-24, this time flying around New Smyrna Beach, FL, where the company American Aero Services is located, which always did the annuals on the Collings Foundation's bombers (as well as a number of fantastic restorations). The Collings B-24 'Witchcraft' has been in storage at American Aero ever since they stopped touring following the 2019 'Nine-O-Nine' tragedy.
