I've been working on bringing FS2020 liveries into FS2024. Here is the latest from the very talented painter Jankees brought into FS2024. Thank you Jankees for all the time and effort you put into these wonderful liveries. B-24J_01.jpg

Here is one of my paints for the Shrike F-86 that I did in FS2020. Now brought into FS2024. Did anyone watch the movie with Alan Ladd, "The McConnell Story?" It was a great movie. If you like the F-86 vintage footage check out the movie, "The Red Scarf." It is a Korean movie and a great watch from 1964, andF-86 FU-910.jpg the "Sabre Jet", 1953

@Hollister56 What change are you making for FS2024? Since they're FS2020 SDK planes, the 2020 paints work in 2024. But if there are tweaks (such as to make the liveries not show up as aircraft models!) would love to know!

Me too, I always thought the C-119 Flying Boxcar was a very cool looking airplane. Where did TankerGuy72 get those airplanes? A B-377 would be a great addition to the B-24 we have. All these old props need to be available, IMHO. Graybull, WY has been know for decades as the home of intereseting old airplanes. Actually, I read what's left is being auctioned off. BTW Killbilly, nice repaint on that C-185 on floats.

Talking of C-119s; I wonder if A.H. have plans to bring it to MSFS ? I didn't buy their P3D one, but it is another of my favourite real-world aircraft.

I loaded up the PBY and working on setting up the controls. Looking really nice. Looking forward to trying a water landing. Is that the ADF antenna behind the cockpit? It looks large, maybe too large, but have to go and look at some pictures of the real airplane! The cockpit is really nice and the instruments are very well done. PBY.jpg

Ed, the (early) ADF antenna (Radio Direction Finder) is on top of the midwing (the ring), later protected by a teardrop shaped radome. The big radome behind the canopy protects a diskshaped radar antenna as seen on the PBY 5A and 6A. Earlier radar was situated underneath the wing but on top of fuselage proved to be a much better place. As you can see the radar radome is not too big but the ADF loop antenna *is*... ( a little bit ;-)

Holy Smokes Jan, you're right. I was going to look that up but I got side tracked on reading about the F8F Bearcat.
FlyingIron did such a nice job on the F6F Hellcat they should have followed it up with the Bearcat! Then of course a Tigercat. Think about that, FI quality in those two planes.

@Javis, indeed the second antenna seems to be a bit too big, I will reduce it a littleand move it a little forward (y)
It is also missing the hatch just above the navigator’s desk through which he took his readings with the on-board sextant => to be done for the official release.

Thanks Hollister56, you are the first who test and publish a screen of the PBY in its last version.
I just read your PDF, it is excellent. I stored it in my development hardisk in a directory "MSFS Bearcat F8F Project" ;)
