Some compromises due to the mirrored mapping.
- Only stars and bars on top of the wing (wings are mirrored)
- Serial only on the vertical stab (rudder is mirrored)

don't you just hate those mirrored textures...
I would put stars and bars underneath as well, similar to 9th AF P-47's, to avoid 'friendly' ground fire.

I have another problem that you can maybe help me with:
jk7598

How do I get rid of that annoying registration? I tried (nearly) everything..
Oh, and where does that Grand Caravan come from? I did not put it there? Is that related to the registration?

I seem to have a lot of underwater trees, anybody else notice that?

would there be anyway to adjust global sea level?? Or is this the climate related sea level rise in action?

It looks to me more like the vegetation in that area was suppressed by a polygon or exclusion area. It can be added back in with a polygon very easily.

To get rid of the registration, you can check out my repaint for N48270 on Flightsim.to for an example (the one here needs to be updated to my latest version). It consists of adding a panel.xxx directory with a panel.cfg file which sets the Registration to a very small size (0 might work too, I made it 1 mm).

I did a flight earlier today in real time/weather from Zurich to Sion in the steam C172. Getting that thing into the rarified air at 12,000 was interesting, but step climbing after about 8K to keep up the energy made it work. I still had to adjust my heading bug a couple of times to avoid peaks that were still higher than me! I kept an eye on the terrain via the VFR map (I know - cheating, but I think of it as a hand-held GPS) and started down not long after the first shot. The ILS for SION is steep to say the least, I ended up with a 1500 FPM descent rate.

Affirm, 0 works too :) The panel.cfg from my savage cub repaints:

[VPainting03]
size_mm = 1024,256
texture = $RegistrationNumber
location = exterior
painting00=Registration/Registration.html?font_color=black, 0, 0, 0, 0

I tried that, but no luck....this is getting annoying, especially since I do see Caravans without the rego...aaargh

edit: success at last! I just copied everything from a texture that did not show the rego:

My only problem now is that I don't see the difference in file structure and content from what I had before...

I recognize that city, Louisville, with Diane Sawyer's face plastered on the side of the building. She was a good friend and sang in my brother's choir, the Motet singers.
