Heading back to home base territory in Fla after being away for a long time. Checking my logbook it shows I've been on the current world tour since July 2023. Using the two vintage era jets in my hanger for the flight back via the north route, Russia > Alaska > Fla.

A couple weeks ago I started an around-the-coastline helicopter tour of Iceland in VR, but I thought I would do the latest leg in 2D to get some screenshots. With the World Update: Nordics installed, the default MSFS scenery is already fantastic, but a couple of free enhancements from Flightsim.to also really polish it off. The weather on this leg was the best I've seen yet on my Iceland tour - usually its been far more cloudy or storming on the days I've selected.

Inbound to Orcas from the north. I really need to get some landing practice with this one. After flying nothing but GA, the viewpoint from this cockpit is way higher than what I'm used to. I got it down on the ground in one piece - even got credit for it in the log. But I think one of the wingtips might need some paint...

Yes, and for a long time it was just about the only jet I ever flew in MSFS.

Here are some shots from my latest flight on my Iceland tour. I had to make a diversion today, as a large storm moved into my path - though it provided a great double rainbow!
