  • Special Server Maintenance

    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

A gentle flight today.. From Regina (CYQR) tracking along HWY48 East to Moose Mountain Provincial Park, and Carlyle (CJQ3). The town of Montmartre can be seen behind the aircraft. There are a couple of metal scale replicas of the Eiffel Tower there. The prairie is relatively calm today, after being under tornado warnings for four days in the past week. Not something I enjoyed!

I got a call from the team at the Keck Observatory asking me if I could deliver some equipment that was flown into Honolulu. So I loaded up the pallets and told them to meet me at the cargo ramp at Hilo.

Descending through 5000' with Mauna Kea just about a mile and a half above me.

Of course they're late, so me and my copilot are stuck waiting. Already got the covers on, just sitting and killing time with all the doors open to let some air flow...

Recently uploaded to Flightsim.to is this recreation of Portuguese Air Force Chipmunk 1335 for FS2020. A nice job which shows great attention to detail on the part of the painter.
