  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Screenshots

John, the overhead shot in the second-to-last pic - is that an addon for 0Q3? I've been disappointed that MSFS flattened the hangars where Chris Prevost keeps his Stearmans, but they would be just out of frame below the bottom of your pic.

Nice! Thanks. Guess I know where I'll be flying tonight. Time to properly re-create my Stearman hop with Chris.

How do you take screenshots like that ? would like to know

Absolutely incredible screenshots, Richard, all of them! I especially like the Stearmans in the snow.

Richard - go outta here! You will cause a lot of depressions by a lot of flightsimmers who want to show their screenshots here. This is hardly unfair competition! :biggrin-new:

You can amend the wrong by creating a tutorial for this hot stuff.
(The heck with it, he is simply an artist...)

Thanks to you for your enthusiasm. I'm happy that the screenshots please you.
Be assured Manschy that I am not the devil. It's just the pleasure of sharing a passion.
It must be recognized that one of the strengths of MSFS is to have the drone camera mode.
It is a fantastic tool for taking captures.

For these screenshots, I took the XCub and Fly Tampa-Vegas scenery.
Fly over the strip at low altitude, pause MSFS and with the drone camera I "walked" along the Strip. The zoom "+" or zoom "-" allows you to focus on a point of interest.

Loving yours too, John! Four weeks in, I didn't think I would be having so much fun with this flight sim.
