Consolidated Vultee (Convair) P4Y-2. Commercial version of the B-24 Liberator. Notoriously difficult to fly and, if I recall correctly, the plane featured in "Fate is the Hunter" (a great aviation book by Ernie Gann).

I think the aircraft Gann talks about is the C-87 Liberator Express.

I believe the pictured aircraft (and hopefully TankerGuy will enlighten us) is a variant of the B-24....as is the C-87. (Please refer to Wiki page for B-24 as it lists numerous B-24 variants including the the C-87C a.k.a. RY-3 a.k.a. PB4Y-2 a.k.a. P4Y-2 (the pictured aircraft N6884C being a 1959 Privateer). I get it...pretty convoluted.)

The aircraft pictured is a PB4Y-2 Privateer modified with R2600s off B-25s and also the nose capped with the canopy off a F-86 (from memory as I'm not near my notes)

I'm reminded of the model of Notre Dame in Assassin's Creed Unity,

If you're into that, just in case you didn't know about it yet, you can virtually walk around ancient Egypt thru a 'non violence' version of Assassin's Creed Origins in 'Discovery Tour'. It is absolutely breathtaking. And if that wasn't enough already the same thing is true for ancient Greece. Envy you if you haven't been there yet. :)

They did the same sort of thing with Assassin's Creed Odyssey - a tour of classical Greece about the time of the Peloponnesian War. If you play the game to its conclusion, you don't see anything new, but you do get a commentary telling you all about the factual history and significance of the various locations.

Yes, I bought that when it came out, but haven't gotten around to doing the tour yet. So much to play, so little time! This type of thing is great to see.

I also bought the three Discovery editions (used some Fathers Day gift money ;) ) -- Greece, Egypt and Viking Age.

I have been hoping it proved successful enough for the company to offer a few more eras but so far not heard anything.

Wonderful experience. The only thing that would make it better would be a VR option.

GMAN was bringing the Tigercat to P3D. Milton Shupe built the original F7F for FS9/FSX. Master of modelling. He helped me create my first PB4Y model for FSX and I owe everything Ive learned to him. The F7F is on my ever growing list of models for MSFS.

Hot damn that's looking good. You've obviously made progress since the last time you showed it. It must be something you work on when you're tired of staring at the S2 cockpit. :)

Trying my hardest not to get burnt out on the S2T and wrap it up which is a bit hard when its a one man show. I need to switch off between modeling, texturing and coding to keep fresh and its a bit of breathing time to relax when Im not chasing two toddlers around the house haha. :running:

Hello everyone

For the next paint, I'll try the PC-21. I really want it. I still have to find a good paint.

@ZsoltB I just have a quick question. Can you tell me which scenery you used for screenshots of the DC-3 with winter landscape. Because I find it very adventurous. Thank you very much.

Thanks for painting this aircraft. I look forward to seeing your creations.

I'm nearly finished this one, the fine details are really tough on this one though, the mapping on this model is difficult for hand painters, not sure of the file system either. Maybe I'm referring to the wrong LOD? I'm finding this one difficult. But nothing like a good challenge eh? I have to remind myself sometimes...patience...breathe...maybe tomorrow.
