  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Thanks JK! To return the compliment, only one of the shots doesn't portray one of your repaints!

'Sigh'......when can we, mere mortals, fly the Whirlwind?

:untroubled:

Cees

I'm as mortal as you are Cees! I was just lucky after being cocky enough to ask him if I could try it out! We can only ask, beseech Rob to release it to the public!

Cheers,

Jan

much, much better than a certain freeware B-25 for instance. I like (to paint) all his models! Here's a few more:

Another bout of Covid, locked inside for a couple days working on this airport I created for FSX years ago. I brought it into MSFS. It's nearly ready to go, just thought I'd share a couple screenies.
CDU9 is Dunnville Airport, located near the North shore of Lake Erie about 30km SW of Niagara Falls. In reality, the airport is closed, it's now a film/television location, and wind turbines populate the field. I've brought it back to life, and am paying tribute to it's former self, once RCAF No.6 of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
