@ ZoltB and Cmdr.Mugel: gentlemen, do you have the hotfix/update installed ? Can you shoot a screenshot of Tomcat on the tarmac/deck, canopy open but boardingstep/ladder retracted ? (one of the options from the hotfix but i fail to find it)

Thanks Kenneth. My machine is at the lower end of the scale as far as specs are concerned so I didn't think there was any chance it was going to be anything other than a slide show using those photo textures. To be honest I didn't think the textures I opted for where that bad ( a step up from vanilla FSX and XP11 for sure) but I figured I'd give them a try after you mentioned it. Wow! amazing... like discovering the Sim all over again and performance ok so far. I'm gonna delete all my previous screenshots so I can enjoy starting over.

You can find it in the Jester menu under (8 "Maintenance", 7 "Options" and than 5 "Stow ladder"

In the grand scheme of things imho both the Spifire and Hunter are much more beautiful aeroplanes than the Holy Moly Tomcat... :playful:

Alright ! Thank you ! :encouragement: (i still have trouble getting along with that Jester menu. Although it is much better now that i deactivated cockpit tooltips which, regarding the Jester menu, did nothing else but flicker on and off. Really annoying )
