Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

I never had the Cox P-40. My neighbor did. But I did have the Cox Skycopter free flight model. As a 10/11 year old I got good at climbing trees to get it back... The only thing I have more hours on than flight sim are Guillows Balsa gliders and rubber band powered models...

C-GRIM......not a corporate jet for Seagram Whiskey company by any chance? The company is no longer owned by a Canadian.

Looking at the METARS last night for the Eastern side of the US and the fact that virtually all the main hubs were shut I thought I'd take a live-weather test flight. So I took the PMDG 738 from Syracuse into Newark. I have to say the cloudscapes and the winds aloft on the transit down were incredible. That was nothing compared to realism and immersion of the RWY04L auto-land in near zero visibility and driving snow at Newark. My main issue after landing was finding the terminal area the visibility was so bad.
