Low level over coastal North Carolina on my way into Morehead City
I may have picked up the Caravan minutes after it went live, but after rediscovering this beauty, I'm falling in love all over. My only complaint is that it's not as easy to keep the cabin temp steady like it is with the turboprops. But I guess that's the nature of gasoline combustion heaters.
Doing something a little different today! I don't fly many contemporary military aircraft in MSFS,for several reasons. Mostly because my interest is geared towards WWII era aviation but I was also blessed to grow up in a family with a lot of connections in the aviation community and, having learned to fly as soon as I could reach the rudder pedals, I've flown or flown in a handful of WWII-era and similar high performance aircraft ( SNJ, P-51D, C-47, BT-13, A-1, PT-17, etc.). I feel like I have something to compare it to when I fly similar models in MSFS. So, it's rare that I venture much into the modern jet age.
The Deimos MiG-29 has been sitting in my hangar (as well as both SU-27s, MiG-25, and a few others), all of them virtual hanger queens. I'm changing that this weekend. I spent a few hours flying the Fulcrum out of an airbase in India and, honestly, she's a doll baby. I love seeing 400+ knots at cruise with the throttle way back! Only issue, my approaches and landings need ALOT of work. No butter smooth touchdowns yet - not even close. I can't seem to make a stabilized approach with her. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it before going on to the GKS MiG-25.
