Part of the reasoning behind these projects Stoney - glad it sparked some interest to go find out more about a "neglected" area of WW2...

Gnoopey's fs9 B-29 with full blown VC... so the readme says..... mdl weighs in at 8.81 mb, fairly sizerable model...

Here's another one of Gnoopey's B29 with a winglet under the fuselage... also sporting one of Morton's paints... plus added better prop, from Kelti.... nice he's still has our backs.

I have a nice 2D cockpit for the B-29 if you need one Mav? It’s based on the above image but with a few tweaks.

Cheers

You bet.... thanks Aussie.

Just performed a VC transplant added a more detail one from fs9 version to Morton's gunship version.... mdl went from 7.13MB to even bigger 9.37 mb.... surprised mdlc recompiled it... this model is also still missing crew...

What is a winglet? Thought they were only on wingtips of modern a/c.

Ok... here's ferry variant or whatever, went on to add milton ww2 pilots.... still have to add rear gunner.

Thought i may be pushing my luck, by adding milton's pilots bgls.... considering the scasm source is alittle over a 100 mb.... probably the largest i have done.

Still plugging away at some Thai runways...

It's a blind valley, so a one way runway, egressing West.
Hard to understand why the Allies thought it a significant target in 1942, the logistics in just maintaining a presence must have been problematic, let alone using it as a base for offensive air operations .

Looks a little dark Mav but that could be because I’m looking at it on my phone. What paint program are you using?

Cheers

Depending on the features available in DCE you should be able to adjust it accordingly. If not use a paint program and adjust the required areas with dodge or screen effects.
