• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Screenshots!

The sim already has shell casings, but they are displaying the new feature (which effects more than shell casings). For comparison, try shooting your guns at dusk or night and compare the appearance of the shell casings to these.

It's been plaguing designers of night time effects since the beginning, and now no more. The new shaders will by default subject all effect textures to ambient lighting, which means you can see them during the day and naturally get darker as the sun goes down. Textures for fire or light effects can be added to a list of exceptions so they remain brightly lit as they should be no matter the ambient lighting conditions. Here's another, a bit easier to tell what's going on here:

Really enjoy Pat's Battle of Britain . A wonderful expansion for CFS3

Fantastic! lol is no-body else reading this thread, this is quite a big deal isn't it? For me there is nothing worse than seeing bright as day smoke and dust at night, and this shader fix will do all the other effects too!:biggrin-new:

They are from the old set. But with the new shaders they properly light up terrain, water and scenery.

Night time graphics are all infinitely better now in all respects by the way. No more work-arounds or odd lighting effects, and everything transitions seamlessly from day to to night.

Sweet looking graphics at night master gecko. New to all this talk about shaders, like AnKor's and don't know where to even get them. Just a little intimidated by it all(much to learn):dizzy:. Good to see you still are here at SOH ,popsaka. Here's some pics from Just Flights Battle of Britain addon that is no longer available .
