• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

When? Or, if? Still busy hashing out gauges for the C2, right now. Just finished the 'console'. Is there a prefered mappng method? Just curious.
 
No Ted, usual mapping method is fine with me.
Oh and no rush, in your own time, but that model does deserve a bit of time when you're ready!:encouragement:
 
Thanks, John! I've made a handful of attempts on the fuselage. Problem I have is, with all the rounded corner windows, there's alot of long narrow polys, and if just one of those polys is missed... Think I'll probably up the size on the texture, too.
 
Yea I get where your coming from regards the polys Ted, there's no rush for anything.
2048x2048 is the norm these days, size wise.
Also, if doing two sheets helps, that's fine with me, just means a mos file will only work on one of the texture sheets, which I'm sure you will already know.

Yea, but I think I'll need to tone down my bare metal on "Man O War" to something more like what Rene has, it would not have been as shiny as that!:untroubled:
