bought her last night. what airport is below in your first shot?

Bought this the instant I saw it was out! Not really regretted it, although it does have some issues - the EGT and CHT don't work, it bounces, and the GPS is screwed up...
But the GPS issue is easily fixed - just edit the panel.cfg to place the default FS9 GPS there (the Carenado gauge is just the FS9 gauge renamed anyway)...

Attached is a screenshot from its maiden flight on my machine...
Frakking amazing work, issues aside!

EDIT: apperantly, Uploads do not work - it spit back my Jpeg as an invalid image file, although it works flawlessly on my machine and is within the published limits for file size...

GPS has no function.

Yeah, i've found several bugs. I'm very surprised by this release. It's full of very obvious bugs. Just shows that Carenado didn't do any testing at all...or didn't care?

- GPS is incorrectly named in the Panel.cfg. Just rename it and it'll work.

- On the autopilot anuntiator panel, the NAV and ALT indicator share the same position. Thus, they can turn each other off. One of these lights need to move. For example, clicking on NAV then ALT on the autopilot will disconnect the NAV function!

- several key buttons in the VC are missing their tool-tips (such as Right Engine Start)

- when first loading up the plane, it sits at a "wheely" position on its back two wheels. When un-paused, the plane will fall onto its front wheels hard

- and of course the major bouncing issues when taxiing

anyways, besides those, the plane does fly and handle very well. I just completed a flight from Edwards AFB to Nellis AFB....nice the whole way...

i will do some more detailed tests tomorrow....such as engine out, stall recoveries, etc...

Quick question to those who have it, how repaint friendly is it? What I mean, does it have mirrored textures like other Carenado planes, or can it be comfortably painted?

I would love to buy this, but the decision now hinges on how "repaintable" it is.

I was looking foward to this plane :frown:

I could not fully resolve the bouncing issue on the Arrow i got it close enough were the problem is almost non exsitant. Changed the cont6act points as suggested in other post it was a no go so finaly I changed moi_pitch= to 1850, nose bobs very slightly now and then but not unrealistic (a good note Carenado did offer me a free plane for my troubles :icon_lol:) I could of gotten my money back but still wanted to see if i could fix issue.

I will see how things progress but for $30 and limited time I dont know if I will purches now.

I'm still playing with the JF Duchess which meets most of my twin requirements.
This one does look good - though, thanks to your insights, I will delay a decision until debugged.

Vienna's LOWW, and I'd say FlyTampa....:kilroy:

With regards to the GPS being messed up....Its not the panel config that is screwy, it is the gauge cab in the gauges folder. Just out of curiousity, I took a look in there and sure enough there are 2 gauge folders in it; one is labeled 'FsGpsCarenado' and the other was labeled 'FsGpsCarenado2'. I renamed the second one 'FSGPSCarenadoPA-34' as it is in the panel config, and now all works as it should. Just figured I'd put it out there....

Sweet looking plane. Will wait for the patched version. I HATE fixing payware myself, they should be ashamed... :isadizzy:

Carenado sent out a patch to fix the GPS problem...i didn't install it....since i've already fixed it myself.

hopefully they sort out the bouncing issue asap. Yup, i hate fixing payware as well....especially when it costs 30$....same price as games like Crysis and Far Cry 2...hmmmm

They sent me a fix for the bouncing issue - works like a charm, actually... moves like glass over the runway now!

really? what was the file called? They sent me a PATCHGPS.zip. It's an .EXE file inside. Is the bounce fix included in this file? Or do you have another file?

It is another file - they actually sent me three files: a new copy of "PA34SEN.CAB" which fixed the problems of the non-functional EGT and CHT, a new "aircraft.cfg" which fixed the contact-points issue and a minor problem with the placement of the nav-lights, and the aforementioned "Patchgps.zip which includes "FSGPSCarenadoPA-34.CAB", negating any need to edit the panel.cfg.

I am disappointed that the aircraft got released so buggy, but I am happy that their customer service was so prompt and thorough. I can see no further bugs in the aircraft now!
(The problems with the tool-tips and the AP do not seem to be present on my system. Perhaps I am just lucky, but so it is! (Not that a lack of tool-tips would be a problem in this aircraft, as everything is clearly labeled anyway!))

hmm..interesting...i guess i'll wait and see if they send those to me :) My Spam filter likes to block stuff from Carenado tho. Last time it took me forever to get the link to the 172. Carenado had to use one of their personal email address to send me the file (great customer support i agree!)

Just emailed them about a cumulative update. They state that the package has been updated, so all future customers will need no updates. I am using my second download to check and see if this is true for those of us that have already bought it!

Just checked my new download. It has indeed been updated with all three of the changes I have mentioned above, so all new purchasers will download a fixed plane, and all future downloads by those of us who have already purchased will be updated.

Is there a pilot figure or front passenger in the VC?
This may sound strange, but I sometimes do cross-country flights from one of the rear seats as a passenger!
If there's no-one in front, this can be disconcerting...
