Sikorsky UH-34/ H-34 / HSSI/ H-34G.III german colors

Good morning friends,
for my as a german the stormflood 1962 which hit northern germany and the city of Hamburg is written in my memory.
We lived at this time at Osnabrück and a roof of a casern building where my father was has been blown away.
The Sikorsky H-34 and Piasecki H-21 played a large part to save peoples lives than An well done movie has been done and a H-34 plays a part in it.
Again a must give my sad expression that no one here is willing or able to make a nice piston powered version of this venerable Helicopter!

Best regards
Michael Vader

Bonjour Michael,

Merci Michael
A+

Michael, the Alphasim S-55 is piston powered, very stable, and its freeware. Maybe try swapping the .air and aircraft.cfg files?

With the aircraft.cfg stuff, you'll want to keep the [contact points], [lights], and the [Views] sections from the original then just swap-in the Alphasim .air file in all of the [fltsim.X] sections at the top of the .cfg. :eagerness:

I can do the swap if you want. Just zip a copy of the aircraft.cfg file and attach it to this thread. :wiggle:

Bonjour Alain,

Good morning Sbob,
thank you for your reply. I almost tried this way but the outcomme did not satisfy me. In fact I could try what ever I would the chopper did fly realy too much nose down. I finaly adapted turbine gauges to show values as if they are for a piston engine and sound now is also aslike a piston engine.
Also the civil versions I published are not all. there are the military versions based on the HSS1 and H-34 to come, of course with new cockpits. And a french version is also in the workshop - but all needs still a bit time

Best regards

Michael

Hallo friends,
concerning the cockpits of the Sikorsky HSS1 H-34 I got a fast and good suport from the german helicopter museeum at Bückeburg
(Hubschrauber Museum Bückeburg). The cockpits I did for the civil versions are a patchwork of different photos of civil versions, the S-58.
The military versions cockpits still to come are based on german and american original manuals.
Sadly for the french and belgian versions build in france under license by Sud Aviation as SA55 I still got no photos or docs. The french versions had another cockpit layout as the US versions . Even I wrote to three french museums and a french assocation who rebuilds one I did not get any positive answers . From Bückeburg I got a complete doc in two days. So if some one has access to a belgian or french original to take photos or can get docs it might be very helpfull.

Best regards

Michael
