• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Simworks Studios Van's RV-8 released

I'm pretty sure I'm getting this after I fire up the sim and run the updates there, but after looking at the pics on the dev's website, can someone point me to the file that will let me clean the fingerprints off the G3X screen? I mean seriously - what self-respecting pilot lets a screen get that nasty?
 
Unfortunately I was on a buying frenzy the day I purchased the RV-8 and have no idea where I bought it. I've tried Discord/SWS where it lists the changes in the update but no link, I wasn't a member of the SWS site (I had to register this morning) so it has no record of course, flightsim.to is a dead end and the only other site I use is SimMarket and apparently it wasn't bought there either.

It must have been bought through the Marketplace but I see no listing for any updates.
 
If you got it in the Marketplace, you'll see it in your Official folder. Otherwise, use your email's search function and just look for Vans.

OrbX also has the SWS Vans aircraft. They still haven't posted the update for the RV-14 there, though. (I bought the other RVs direct from SWS.)

You can insert wingmen, only as long as they are the same aircraft as the one you are flying!
Bit of a disappointment, given its freeware little brother does not have this problem.

Did this ever get fixed with Airshow Assistant? Does anyone know? Even after I have Airshow Assistant scan for installed aircraft, none of the SWS Van's aircraft show up along with many other addons??

Does anyone know how to make them selectable in the Airshow Assistant formation wingman menu???
 
I'm without sim atm but can recall several aircraft e'g' P-40N failed to load last time I tried - there have been several "updates" to Airshow Assistant and perhaps they broke something.
