smilo's goin' Commando!!!

apparently, Heidi and Oliver
don't think it's a good idea
for me to slam down a few beers
and then attempt to fly out
of this hole called Sentani.

this time, i have to agree
(nope, :isadizzy: not good)
and i'm darn glad those two
are keeping me on a short leash.
thanks kids,
i'd hate to blow it
this close to the end.

...departing WAJJ (Sentani) for WABB (Biak)

i'll eat my bowl of cereal on the way.

Try landing at WAJJ at night with some fog. That'll raise the hairs on the back of your neck. You know those mountains are there, but where exactly?

yeah, for some strange reason,
i keep picturing Paul,
with a devious grin,
adding that one to the list.
good one, Buddy

Seems everyones WAJJ is sunk in. I was worried about clipping the trees diving onto the runway, and when climbing out.

A thought about the radio/cd player. Ive had occasioal trouble programming also, sim freezes and such. Read something about using windowed mode when setting the tracks. Tried this and everything has been working well so far. Have not used the disk player, but windowed mode might work here also.

yeah, i'm glad that one's behind us.

funny you should mention the player,
i just swapped cds and everything froze
during the load process.
i feel like i'm skating on thin ice
everytime i change disks.
i guess i should look into the window mode, also.
maybe later...
i just crossed the north coast.
it won't be long now.

.....down safe at WABB (Biak)

one more for the books,
one more to go...
all be it, the Biggie.

lets shut 'er down for a bit
and let the mechanics
give her the once over
before the long one.

after we off load, say,
250-500# of goodies,
we can go stretch our legs
and see what there is to see.

------------:kilroy:--------------------
actually, as reality would have it,
i need to go spend some time with the Mrs.
we will most likely watch the races,
which she likes, all most as much as the Sounders.
not really, for her, the Sounders are way above
and beyond all other sports events.
but i digress, it is our anniversary (28th, i think)
and i'm off to do my duty
____:running:______

heck, i might even have that beer
i was talking about
way back there somewhere.

so much for that idea.
i guess that leaves,
don't change cds in flight.
arrrgh, and with a 3+ hour flight coming up.

computers are acting a little strange.
hope it's nothing serious...
here goes nothin'

...departing WABB (Biak) for RPMD (Bangoy) :salute:

i can't stand it
i've got to change cds
cross your fingers

edit;
yellow FS available
for only a few seconds
all is good

Congrads Smilo. Glad the cd player worked right. I usually play some tracks on Win Media Player in the backround on long flights.

Good to show us how to master the Whale. Might come in handy in a few weeks...
Well done.

thanks guys, much appreciated,
but i've got to tell ya, Mike,
i am far from mastering the big girl.
i think she was just letting
me come along for the ride.
and what a ride it was.
to be honest, sometimes,
i was hanging on for dear life.
having an elevator trim axis close by
was a real life saver, for sure.

i look forward to flying her
some more in the near future.
hopefully, she won't get too jealous
if i bring my other big girl friend along,
the C-119
