• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

SOH Team Project - Grumman Tracker, Trader, Tracer

Coming along nicely! :applause::applause::applause:

The only thing I see with many of these paints is a lack of oil streaks and exhaust. They look a little too clean. Just a thought.

Red tape...

Milton:

If you had all of those beautiful air-air photos earlier it would have made it easier for the painters.... Looking very realistic indeed! Tom
:applause:

Tom, I think he intended to. It just took so long getting written permission from the U.S. Navy before releasing the pics.

So far, Duckie has stepped up.

If you want to do this, shout it out and I will send you appropriate links.

Thanks

Fair warning, I'm a slow worker. :running: Hopefully the wait will not disappoint. But the water's fine so jump on in! :icon_lol:

While we're on the subject, can somebody shoot me the FS or RGB numbers for the topside gray used on the E-1 by the USN from 65 to 75? The only gray my air-brush can remember right now is (36440) 182-181-176!

Thanks

Hi John, thanks for your response. All my color references, limited though they may be, agree that the gray should be FS36440, Light Gull Gray. It's just that the grays in some of the screen shots looked darker than that. Could be just the differences in the monitors presenting the colors though. I just wanted a warm fuzzy for the "correct" gray to use.

Thanks,
Steve

Hiya,

Seems Adobe Photoshop does not like my repaintkit... :crybaby: Or better say does not want to load it. Adobe seems to behave as a monopolist :mixedsmi:

Same repaintkit in psd format will be available shortly. :icon_lol:
