SOH Team Project - Grumman Tracker, Trader, Tracer

Love to fly the "Stoof". Here as deHavilland Canada CS-2A Tracker '184' of the Royal Netherlands Navy turning in for a touch-and-go at Flamingo, Bonaire. The real 184 served with the RNLN from April 1961 till late 1969 (wfu January 1, 1970) and was based at MVS Hato near Willemstad, Curaçao (former Netherlands Antilles). Afted having been shipped to the Netherlands 184 went to the Anthony Fokker School for aviation technique in The Hague to serve as an instructional airframe. For several years now 184 is on display in the Tradition Room of the Dutch Naval Aviation at De Kooy Airport (near Den Helder, Netherlands).
The beautiful repaint is by John Detrick.

Cheers,
Maarten

This'll be the first of four variations of VS-41 repaints!

Dave

Great, I'll be able to really get my Silverwings North Island going good. Thank You.

I worked around North Island in the early 70's, taking care of landscaping in the base housing areas.

Hey, thanks a bunch guys!

I'm also working on the sister sqdn to VS-27 which is VS-24, same scheme, Red rudder, both aboard Yorktown same time, same cruise.

I don't know what to choose anymore! :icon_eek:

:icon_lol: :icon_lol: Fortunately, Maarten, I have a large storage HD, so I'm not foreced to choose....yet! I just get 'em all! :salute:

Great paints, Duckie!!! VS-27, VS-41 (# 1, 2 & 3)

Have you uploaded to SOH? If not, where can I find them?

- H52

Thanks H52. :salute: Like everybody else, I'm waiting on the librarian to clear Dave's VS-41 trilogy. :kilroy:

My VS-27 won't be ready until sometime this weekend. Got a mapping situation I gotta figure out how to deal with. Once that's done the VS-24 bird will be quick to follow. :running:
