There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

I hear FSX from far away:mixedsmi:
1. Hands-off stable in cruise
2. Sensitive controls, particularly in pitch
3. Roll input couples to pitch; I believe this mimics the real-life a/c
4. Very docile on approach and landing. I'll bet even OBIO could manage it
5. A/c trembles in the sim (w/ engines off)
Nigel -- the sounds are great, but you've got to crank up the internal racket. Even with the Cockpit slider full-left (100%) I could Zzzzzzzz!
Milton - please consider shortening the crew ladder a bit per attached pix.
Edit: any chance of having an occupant for the right seat?
BTW, the only animations I found were wing-fold & crew door. Edit: I found the tailhook

....You might have noticed in the real world that the suspension hanging is much more than 2 times static compression on the ground. When I set up proper hanging suspension and then static compression, it causes a bit of tremble on the ground. The sim prefers that the max compression to static compression ratio be 2.5. If I set it up that way, hanging suspension would be very short and suspension would be very stiff or the aircraft would be riding very high on the oleos. (It's like they implemented it backwards.) But, if its a problem, I'll compromise.
....Regarding sound volumes, I keep my engine cockpit levels at around 35%. They are very loud to me; I actually lowered my volume to deal with it. Where do you have you volume controls set for sound in the sim, and on the computer?
Now that I understand the source of the trembling, I can live with it. Realistic "hanging" and "riding" are my preference.
I actually had my cockpit value set at 36%. When I went to 100% I did not notice any change; reloaded the a/c and still no change. (NOTE: I'm referring to INTERIOR sounds; exterior is fine). I'm not clear on what you mean by "on the computer".

Fliger, if you can track down any Stoof drivers, ask them about coupling. I remember one chap telling me that because of the Stoof's short fuselage, there was greater-than-normal coupling between two axes. That was 45 years ago, so I'm not sure which two.
Milton, I've got the 4 animations: wing fold, tail hook, crew door and radome/MAD/antenna. Are there any others I've missed?
This is a fabulous model, even without the squadron paints. When combined with its other siblings (-1, Willy, COD and a possible turbo variant) the set will become a true collector's must-have. Congratulations!!! :salute::salute::salute:

That's why I love doing things for SOH members and friends.
While we await other progress, I thought I would try to make some progress on the military variant of the S2T.
Later I will do the civilianized one.![]()
Nicely done!
And soooooon, ill be drowning myself in a new airtanker, lalalalalalala!!!
But more importantly, the E-1B! then the TTracktor.
Okay, I seem to have the turbo settled down, and breathing better with the new exhausts.
Temporarily using KA350 sounds and 2D panel.
Also adjusted the ladder to be shorter.
I do need a better prop texture; this one was small and blurry.
