That looks great TG; a lot of painting going on there. :) :applause:

I will try to have those updates to you Sunday.

Now, where's those effects from Nigel? :wiggle:

Thanks Milton! Which effects are those?

I gotta say when you learn to edit and paint things in flight sim it does take away from your flying time because you always want to fix something or find something to fix, but once i finished this paint I actually took her up for a nice 30 minute flight around Riverside County. Thanks for the great aircraft! masterful work! :salute::applause:

Beautiful work TG :applause: :applause:

Now all I need is someway to add a red stain to the aprons in my scenery's for these tanker guys.

Pete.

 I'm really sorry to disturb you again with some WIP shots of the Trader repaintkit/repaint

For 90% finished, next stage is adding dirt and oil stains.

Enjoy!

Marcel

Fantastic job!!! This one will certainly be my hangar's favourite!!! :applause:

I was just reviewing some requests from TG and Mgr regarding some miscellaneous mapping and texturing changes.

All of these aircraft have over 1200 parts. As such, a lot of the miscellaneous parts get some "general mapping".
That is, you select a whole batch of appropriate like-items, map them together and apply one generalized texture to them.
Otherwise, I would never get these project done. :)

The subject texture here is the "white1.bmp" texture.

There are probably 300+ parts mapped and assigned to this texture (exterior and interior).
Some of them are external parts that you probably do not pay a lot of attention to, but that the eye sees and helps with realistic appearances.

I made this screen shot of 96 of those parts just to give you a sense of how intense this can get.

I am also attaching a parts list for the C-1A, that has interesting info, and thought some of you who like to see the "behind-the-scenes" stuff would be interested in browsing it.
You can open it with Notepad after unzipping.

By the way, once this project is done, the gmax source will be available for anyone who would like to change, improve, borrow from, and just satisfy curiosity.
Any use of the source must be personal or freeware.

Looks great TG. Hmmm, I think I got those wing antennas a bit large. Do they need to be a bit forward?

Yeah they are a little big and more squared and without that base theyre sitting on. :) but who am I to complain im just lucky to have this :salute: I can send you the texture if you want to place them?

Looking fantastic. I was wondering if there might be any possibility of an AI model version to be included, as those who enjoy AI with carrier ops know this particular Grumman would be a tremendous addition. If it's bags of extra work then of course, never mind, but I wanted to raise it before things were too far along (which they already may be). In any case, I am looking forward to doing some low and slow patrols knowing how good a hand flyer this one is likely to be!

Thanks and regards,

expat
