SOH Upgrades

When the founding fathers of SOH got together Tek, Canelo_Kid, Douglas, Mopar_Mike and myself, we decided to never have advertising, Many people told us we were never going to make it without doing this.

Well its now 10 years since this was discussed and I decided to keep the trend going even if I have to buy the new server out of my pocket.

I agree...We will get the funds needed .......
 
You guys have done a great job, way behond what would seem possible, and did it without ads. You have done so well that we now need to upgrade. Surely SOH members will see the need for donations now. Thanks for the many years you guys have worked for us. Guys, a simple thank you is not enough, here's a big kiss for ya! :medals::salute::salute:

there's your answer right there! you could sell the tape to the dept of defense! they would pay big bucks for it, and we could win the terror war over night.
 
Just made my meager contribution. Wife has had two back surgeries, supporting four people on my lowly paycheck. If I can find a little extra cash I think everyone can!

I would hate to see the commercial people have to pay to announce their wares! One of my biggest thrills is logging on everyday to see if something has been released. PLEASE PLEASE don't charge for this!
 
im in for this , i will donate again wihtin the next 2-3 weeks , i figure some can some cant . but theres enough of us im sure to make it work for your outline .


im really excited about your intentions with site for simmers .the issue of a free zone of advertising is excellent and agree .


i guess how you and your/people ...set forth the donation campaign will be important since the ,extention of such, is POSITIVE and hoping all know why and can understand . im sure

My humble 0,02 EUR concerning banners?
I won't care too much about them - in fact, they are beyond my horizon of perception! :icon_lol:

If they would be neccessary to keep this great site running, I could live with them.
But:
Calclassic's banners currently seem to make my browser go freezing - one side effect the potential banner payer should consider...

Guys,

The help I have recieved on this website is superb, a real community, even if people fall out from time to time !

The opportunity of flying online with some of you guys is a real bonus, and as such is well worth an investment from myself to keep this priviledge alive.

Thankyou for all the hard work it takes to allow me to log on at any time for my sheer convenience.
 
Right behind you Ickie and team, this is a cheap hobby compared to many and between all the members $10k should be easily attainable. I can't imagine life without SoH!
