Solomon 1943 in P3Dv4 (no taxiway)

Hello,
once you have modified the airport bgl file, you must compile it using the exact same name as it had when you opened it.
Then copy it back into the folder where is came from and let it overwrite.
Make sure you have backed up the original first, in case the amendment didn't go according to plan.

Hi guys,

I already corrected all the airfields for the new version, but also want to do some scenery work. For that, I am waiting for the new SBuilderX 3.15 to be finished because of the very large scenery files the Solomons have. The new SBX should be ready in a few weeks, and I'm on the beta dev team.

Just wanted to let you know that the fix for the Solomons is near.

Cheers,
Mark

Both of these are great news! Although SBX worked for me in Win10 there are issues that hopefully will be ovecome in 3.15.

The main issue is that vector (CVX) elements do not compile, and few other issues that could be worked around with some effort. I ran it in a dedicated win7 64 virtual machine because of that, which had other shortcomings.

But we're on a good path now, along with some other features. This will be a godsend for us scenery designers, to say the least.

Cheers,
Mark

Have done yet another "return to the Solomons" and was wondering, Mark, if you have had any time to work on your next version? Thanks and regards!

Oh boy, the Solomons are in a bad need for a fix up. The problem is that it is so big that I hardly know where to start.

Cheers,
Mark

Bringing this back from years ago. So do we have working WWII scenery for P3D v4.5 now? Thanks!

I use Mark's last version (along with FTX Global, Active Sky and my added taxiways + parking via ADE for my own AI) of the Solomon's all the time in v4.5. It looks great and never stops amazing me to discover the little details he has added here and there.
