Some new feathers for an old bird!

The second paint is in the final stretch....need to adjust the size of the squadron code lettering (it's too small) and save the skin in 32-bit and 16-bit formats. Tomorrow I will get it uploaded. Here are some screenshots.

This paint will work with the long nose Army variant or the short nose RAF variant...though the short nose will lack the nose art.

I went ahead and busted out the small adjustments needed to complete this package. I also did up the a file to put the nose art on the short nose RAF Evaluation variant when using this package with that plane...read the read me file. 32-bit textures only....I figured if anyone needs DXT3 format, they can convert them to that format using Martin Wright's DXTbmp...save space on the server this way.

Off to upload the package now.

I hate asking but I don't suppose anyone would be doing the original grey and yellow collors of the original test aircraft :wiggle:

You mean a repaint of the stock Prototype? I think I have it mostly done. Will take a look and finish it off as soon as I can.

Thanks, Obio. After all we need the original protype for this bird! :ernae:

That is my next project Lou. It was not gray, but aluminum dope and Orange-Yellow upper wings.

I sure wish I could find some way to paint those spinner hubs????????

BTW, Andy McGee adapted my long-nose Naval fighter to DDS textures for CFS3 affecinados and as soon as I received the aircraft.cfg information, I shall zip tose and send them up for the CFS3 guys.

Oops, didn't read your reply soon enough OBIO. Will work on the F3F's wings in lieu. :applause: Want me to share my polished props? See F3F 2nd thread.

Hello again people, I have been crunching the textures and I think the spinners are in the textures (top right corner in the nacelles texture) but unfortunately there is no wireframe for them in any of the UV maps available from ACM 2.3.

Looks like they were intended to be textured but didn´t

I can be wrong of course but sure looks like that from my screen.
