Here's a couple more from my freeware based set up.

Even though FS9 turns 7 years old this year, there is still a LOT of life and youth left in it. I am still fairly new to FS9, having gotten it for Christmas 2008...so I am still exploring, learning, digging into the what all as out there for the sim in terms of scenery, planes, tweaks, modifications and whatnot. Even though FS9 has run beautifully on my older single core system, I look forward to seeing it SCREAM on my upcoming new system build.....multi-core, mega-ram, mega-video card. Come on tax return checks! The wife has already promised that the entire state tax return check is MINE to use to order the goodies to build a new system...and that if I need to use some of the federal return as well, I can...but I am going to limit myself to the state tax return check.

Some old shots from me. 100% freeware inside, at that time I didn't want to buy any payware for my FS...

:salute: ...very nice P-47 OBIO. Is it the Alpha model? Any good freeware sounds you know of for this aircraft?
Sounds like you have a very understanding wife, lucky man.

Cheers mate,
Nigel :ernae:

That is the freeware Alphasim P-47 Bubble Top model...after I rolled it into my Virtual Aircraft Restoration Hangar and put my crack team of Flying Monkey Men to work on it. I will continue to work on the Bubble Top and release the package in the next week or so. Then on to the Razorback Jug that is part of the Alpha package. Lots of tweaks, improvements, polishing and such going on. The Flying Monkey Men have been working over time on the Bubble Top and will stay on over time schedule to get the Razorback model restored and improved.

I use Lawdog's P-47 sound package. It's the best I have found for the Jug in terms of freeware sounds. I will be uploading a tweaked version of the package with the Bubble Top, adding in FS9 tweaks such as canopy open and closing sounds.

Lookiing forward to the tweaks...

:salute: OBIO, yeah I thought it was the Alpha model. I like this 'Jug' version, in fact I've relegated all others to the 'hardly ever fly' hanger. Its getting pretty full in there I can tell you!
I'll give Lawdog's sounds a whirl...never can have too many.
Lookiing forward to the tweaks OBIO. Very much a fiddler myself, I'm always tweaking with sounds, paints, scenery etc. As soon as I think something something's near perfect, off I go again.
Bit of an obsession I suppose but I just can't accept second best. But half the fun (I reckon, anyway) lies in getting there don't you agree?

Keep it up OBIO,
:ernae:

Cheers,
Nigel

Very nice screens, Thunderbolt!

That's some pretty fine scenery there, Thunderbolt!
A Sight for sore eyes...
Give us some HU...

Cheers,
