Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Sometimes FS makes you go wow....

Tropical Saturation

Wow probably just because it's so different from where I usually play...
This is Thailand, found some wild clouds and sky near VTCC, a superb freeware gem I'll put into the appropriate thread.

Finally caved in...

and bought Active Sky.
Not sure whose textures are whose, but you get some subtle variations that were definitely not there before.
So, a sentimental treatment of an old favourite...

One of the main reasons I've held off on FSX is because of the wealth of FS9 addons that have come our way over the years. Obviously I'm well behind the curve, and will probably never catch up. But I'm luvin' what I'm seeing on my computer screen, feel priveliged, and want for not (regarding the flightsim experience.)

A good example of too many downloads, too little time, is my reading in this thread about FS Recorder. (HuH?) Say.....I downloaded that when it first came out.....(Waitaminute.....LOOK....yeahhhhhh!!) It's there, sitting in my modules folder....ready to go for over a year!!

.....Hmmm.....let's try it....

....Mmmmm...dang...that's cool......!!

....Still lot's to install, explore, experience. This is just great. What's the rush getting on with the newest, latest, most trendy...? I think I'm just going to take my time and savour this.

Hmmm...maybe we can generate a flight of B-17 Fortresses over Boeing Field.....hmmmm....
:applause:

Thank you Mr Diaz

So what's this Wow?
This Wow is taxiing your nice Beriev in to Budapest Ferihegy, and finding some kickass AI you'd forgotten were in the sim! ;)
