• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

I see that the thumnails of a lot of files both FS4 and CFS2 are missing in action. Are they a lost cause?

Slowly,...

...ever so slowly, the CFS2 download files are being restored. :jump:

The restoration is being done from oldest to newest with regard to the files lost in the server failure. :monkies:

Some CFS2 Aircraft downloads are now functional (the older postings). :engel016:
 
Thank you, Lord, or whoever, for getting things restored. It will be great when all is back to normal. Thanks staff, for all your time and effort.

Still pretty...

...close to 90% of CFS2 Downloads have not been restored since the server crash.

There has been little to no change in the status over the past week.

We're about six weeks into the recovery process. Are the backups corrupted?????? :kilroy:

I guess you have all seen the new banner proclaiming the great new download/upload capabilities. Wow! It would even be cooler if you could actually download CFS2 stuff . . . .

My favorite line is:

Okay, I guess I will give them a little more time. I hate to have to start uploading to Simviation again. It usually takes the pirate sites about a month longer to steal my stuff from SOH so I will try to stick it out . . .
 
The frustration is understandable. But here is a solution...

I asked Douglas if there is anything I can do to help. I offered to comb through the CFS2 section and give him a list, section by section, of the files that are missing.

Obviously, that might take a while. If you would like to help, please tell me what section you are combing through, and make a list of the FILENAMES that are missing. I will forward that to Douglas and Moparmike.

In short, let's take a proactive approach!
