Strange Water Effect Problem

I am studying the water effects of FS9 and have come across a strange problem possibly due to too many conflicting wake effect FX's, it is a dark area in the foreground of any camera view of a vessel or float plane on the water, it really makes it look weird and ruins screenshots of anything on the water..... it is created in the foreground of any thing moving or stationary ...

example is the payware Enterprise, which comes with a custom wake, but it too has the Dark zone...

it forms in front or to the side of any ship moving or seaplane once it lands..... making the water effects totally weird looking..

From astern, things look decent...

from the front looking back the dark zone appears...

i am wondering if this is one of the enviro files or a wake problem, i could take out all the wake effects and see if that fixes it..i was hoping to do some detailed views of some of the water based sceneries lilke the Lago Venice and other places like Glacier Bay and Misty Fjords, but this is messing things up...

any ideas very welcome.
