Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

SWS Kodiak MSFS2024 Update released

Paul K

SOH-CM-2026
I think a number of us have the Kodiak in FS20, so this update will be very welcome. You get the full range in one pack this time - wheels, tundra wheels, amphibious, along with all the cabin configurations, such as passenger, cargo etc.

Half price for FS20 owners, with the discount being applied at checkout.

I've been waiting for this MSFS2024 update so that I can explore the PNG & Solomons area and look for evidence of old WW2 airfields.

I tried to upgrade but for some reason it didn't work. I will wait and try again later. too much going one right now anyway.

The latest update is out, according to SWS' Facebook page; version 2.2.0.

Today we're excited to release Update 2.2.0 for the Kodiak 100 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Over the past several weeks, we've been working on one of the most comprehensive updates the aircraft has received to date. At the heart of this release is a new FS2024-native flight model, bringing noticeable improvements to handling, stability, and overall flying characteristics across the aircraft's operating envelope.
The update also includes significant refinements to engine and beta range behavior, avionics and systems improvements, updated interactions, and numerous fixes and quality-of-life enhancements throughout the aircraft.
This release represents an important milestone not only for the Kodiak 100, but also for future development, as many of the technologies and improvements introduced here are already being carried forward into the Kodiak 900.
As always, thank you to everyone who provided feedback, reported issues, and helped us test along the way.
We hope you enjoy the update, and we're looking forward to hearing what you think.

I also saw news of a forthcoming payware expansion for the Kodiak 100 that will give you a fully equipped Medevac version.

EDIT: Just installed the update, and so far I'm impressed. Easily trimmed for hands-off, and it's rock steady on approach and finals ( which was an issue ).

Does anyone know what happen to the Bravoairspave livery pack with the shark and the tiger for this aircraft? I has disappeared from the MarketPlace for 20 and 24.

Their website is still up - might be worth contacting them.

Anyone who notes NWS/rudder issue on the ground (MSFS 2024) with FS Realistc Pro you need to disable the 'Prop wash' effect. Otherwise the NWS/Steering will be locked on the ground under 10 knots.

Ahhh!

That's what was happening! It was driving me mad when manoeuvring on the ground.

Thank you for supplying an explanation & fix!

Keith.
