SZD-30 Pirat released

Thanks for the link Empeck, going to give that a try!

And forgot to say in my last post, thank you very much for this nice bird, it is really lovely!

Empeck

Seeing that your Pirat project was such a success, are you maybe planning on doing another glider?

As you can see there is real interest in gliders.

Thanks again for a great addition to the glider family.

Ben

I have a 'to do' list (much shorter than Piglets though :D, just four planes), but sorry, no gliders at the moment.

This looks good! I have been very busy with the Aerosoft Discus Beta lately, so I haven't had a chance to download and try the Pirat yet...

But...

From my real world glider pilot log book:

"Flight number 171 - 7th. August 1976 - Pirat - Booker - Airtow - P1 - 28 minutes - FF Pirat, nice!"

I had just done 3/4 hour in the Pilatus 4 before that and the Booker check flight pilots had both given me a green light, so I flew the Pirat in some aeros. And if I remember correctly, I also got a minor ticking off because I took a thermal into the London TMA - ooops!

Thanks again :ernae: I've got Aerotow working so I can launch in all launch methods with this sailplane. CumulusX 1.5 is working and I'm learning thermals. Oahu, Hawaii, is my current area but I'll add Glacier National Park, Montana......... and others in the full grace of time. I like the sliding canopy window, nice detail, and I'm not aware of any other sailplane that has it. :medals: I'll try to learn ridge soaring next.

Has anyone had trouble with the Pirat on take-off or landing? Mine bounces around untill it is uncontrollable and flips over and crashes! In the air (slew key cheat) it is no problem!

Glad I am not the only one...I thought I was a terrible glider pilot (maybe I am)

I believe you have FSX SP2 without Acceleration, right? There is a problem with SP2 I'm unable to reproduce. I have no idea why SP2 is different than Acceleration (I haven't used any Acc features in Pirat). I'm looking into it, but I haven't found any solution yet, sorry :(

Winch and Vario not working after DX11 instal

A realy cool glider whit good performance for its time.
just a note: For the one that want vario sound in the pirat
You just need to made a link in to the sound.cfg from the 808s and also put the vario on on in the aircraft.cfg whit this setting take fron a valid aircraft.cfg glider like variometer=1 and its work.

Don't know if somebody can help me
I have exacly made all the RTM installation + DX11 and fallow all the procedure mentioned from here
but still no luck ? winch and left vario still not working ?:pop4:

I have
Have installed DX 11 and RTM whit full right, then reinstalled the pirat a cople of time and nothing work for me ?, I have vista 32 bit whit a french version of FSX whit SP2 + acceleration.

Or is there a patch for the pirat or an update that fix the problem thank you.
