Should be able to, it was a matter of changing the color of the Pespex_T texture and a tad lighter alpha, also made the Plexi_spec a brighter green so when the light hits the canopy it shines a brighter green in that area. :ernae: Just won't have that spec in FS9 though.

Yeah, that's cool idea! I might try that and also with different (maybe metallic) fuse color:mixedsmi:

One thing which people may also like to add is a publisher line:

I do this for all aircraft cfg. files that don't include it. I just don't like having any aircraft in my hangar with a publisher/creator listed as unknown.

As a matter of personal taste, I prefer a VW sound to mate up with this Whittman Tailwind. The best I have found is a sound set available at Flightsim. Search for:
FS2004/FSX Druine Turbulent Sounds

It is not perfect as it has some slightly, not too noticeable, sound loop descrepencies, but does give a good homebuilt sound to the plane. I'm using this sound set put into the FS Piper J3 plane as I like it enough for a J3 sound, and in the Wittman W8 and W10 sound file, I alias to the FS J3.

That said, it would sound even better if the throttle to engine sound ratio worked properly. Such as full rpm sound not backing off until pulling the throttle back past 1/2 throttle. Hope someone can figure out why this is happening, it would surely enhance the planes flight experience.

I was personally thinking of linking it to the Extra 300, but its just a bit loud in the VC.


On that sound plateau on the custom soundpack. Aaron Swindel is working on that presently. He should have it done in the next couple of days.
