Tailwind Released!

Just purchased this bird and simply love it.
Great work!Thank you.:173go1:
There is another Oldie i would love to see in FSX,
the Beechcraft D17 Staggerwing.
Bill,if you have nothing to do at the moment......
:greenf:
Michael

Hey Michael,

Glad you are enjoying it.

Right now, I am pretty well filled with models into next year. The Staggerwing would be a nice project. I have an aquaintence that has the famous white one with a black stripe. Its in a museum somewhere in California, I think in San Diego. I rode in it once. Roll down windows, with an automotive turn crank. Idles along at a huge amount of speed. One fast, huge plane....

Bill

Bill, thanks alot for all the airplanes. Makes FSX the biggest time robber in my life.
Best hobby in the world. I'm also a native from the land of sweat. Had to cool down for the rest of life. Moved to the Northwest. Thanks again.

Sorry about the mis-mapping between W10 and W8 fuselages. Because of the side windows, I had to use diff fuselages. Most of the rest of the aircraft is identicle except that and doors.

Bill

No worries Bill.:ernae: And thanks for excellent service once again, black boxes are now gone LOL

bushpilot,
As page 10 is now damaged for me and unreadable can you tell me where your repaints can be downloaded?

Roger, they are here in SOH library, but they have been unreachable after the server upgrade. Let me see if I can get them uploaded to my Live Space. And the B&W paint comes with the TW 1.4 installer.

When I went to Oshkosh, I saw a few Tailwinds. The main thing I noticed is that both of them had very tinted windows.

Wondering if it would be possible to tint the windows of a few of my paints this way.

Also wondering if the Sound issue was ever resolved?

Also, what is the current build?

Just got around to finally installing the latest update - awesome! Love the trike gear planes, and the engine sound is a joy! Many thanks Lionheart! :applause::applause::applause:

I would like to do the tinted windows too. I have no yet made one with tinted windows yet. I believe in the FS9 model, I will need to redo the MDL file, so there would be a secondary model other then the main model, and some paint schemes would then use the tinted version.

For the FSX version, Robert (BananaBob) Rivera has figured out how to darken the glass and even colorize it, so I believe FSX can be done very soon with just paint adjustments.

KK, negative man. I put them in there during the original build, just for you. Sorry its not working out for you.

I have started a Blog at my website which basically takes over the News section. This will talk intimately on the various models, enhancements, upgrades and updates that are going on throughout the fleet. The latest one is a 'owners tips' for the Tailwind, located here;

For other Blogs, go to the Archive and look them up via Dates and Names of the Blogs.

Sweet blog brother!! I'm pretty sure the dark glass could be done, don't know about the inside, it would look the same, sorta like a two way mirror, LOL. Gonna try it. :ernae:

Hey Robert,

Thanks on the Blog. Unfortunately, it doesnt look right on all browsers. On Opera, some things are mis-aligned. On Safari, it looks perfect. Who knows what it looks like in IE and FF, lol.. eeeks!

Roger that on the tinted windows. I think with FS9, its locked in, but FSX should be interesting. That green plexi you did was way awesome!

Bill

Bill, outstanding blog and just for the record, in Firefox it looks perfect. Man I have got to get that airplane too.
UPDATE: Got it, lol.

Getting the tint to be seen from the VC would be awesome:mixedsmi:.

The "switching the gauges" section on your blog reminds me, I recently added the Tailwind's "ipod" to my Kodiak and its working great:running:.

Awesome.. It will work in all of my planes that have the sounds in them already. For those that do not, it will not function. There are some system securities that render the system non-working without the model and certain gauges. But with the LHC lines, you can intermix them, and change/modify sounds as well.

Bill

Yeah, well except it's not playing my music:kilroy:. Probably because that TW xml-sound gauge should be also inserted to Kodiak. But everything else in it works, and it has that great looking old time compass that I tend to use over the G1000
