Well done Sven.

Now we are ready for the transatlantic crossing.

I do not have time until the week-end.

Gooy-sbrf

This is the big one, especially on a PC bound for repair

Also, I might have to abort/divert due to real life issues!

Anyway, PL=14160, Fuel=17999, GW=95395 (just short of MTOW 95500).

And it proved to big for my cranky PC:gameoff: - sudden reboot after about 4 hours!
Jock is taking over, and I hop you will let his leg count in my stead!

Gosh, horrible luck Sven.

Now pacing the floor waiting for Jock's arrival...

I just got the NDD Calcanhar at Southamerica's NE point. I missed the island Fernando De Noronha.
Maybe it was at the time when the captain was in the pantry doing the dishwashing.

Now heading 190 dgr down the coast.

Nice one Jock :) It a great feeling to see that South American coastline after such a long featureless flight ! Enjoy the run down to Argentina :) The Alvear bar is still busy serving the pilots and crew and the BOAC Hermes team have just returned from a trip Back to RIO with some Dancing girls to compliment the fantastic Buenos Aires Senoritas :) See you soon

Great Work!!!!

It's all downhill from here - except... I'm afraid you'll have to go it alone, as I simply
don't trust that PC to do anything but crash!!

/Sven

Ok, Sven.
I will fly the legs during the week.

I found out that I have one problem with VC and rain.

Even after installing the Flight 1 VC rain fix.
The VCRain* files in the texture folder is not updated.
I suspect that the fix does not work because I run Vista.

Do anyone have the converted VCRain* files,
so I can copy them to the texture folder ?

Thanks Bry,

Please keep the bear cool and the girls hot.
See you.

Hi Jock,

Go to Flightsim.com Basic File Search and search "File name" for twidgau.zip.

For the Sextant... same place (basic file search) just do a "Search for text" using the word "sextant" and the first / top return should have the file you're looking for.

Hi Jock,
good job for the atlantic crossing. :applause:
Man, I'm apprehensive of that leg (and my next one LPPT GCXO). Different thing to get out over the water with no clear position, and nowhere to turn to in an emergency...

When you arrive, have a look out that the lads leave me some booze...
