Hey Everyone, looking for a very small group of brave souls.
We are reaching the final stretch of the Mitsubishi MU-2K Solitaire rebuild, and I’m looking for just 2 or 3 fresh pairs of eyes to help run this latest candidate build through its paces before public release.
As anyone who knows the Solitaire can attest, she is definitely a handful—and we've worked hard to capture that true-to-life performance, sharp roll response, and unique handling characteristics.
If you are familiar with the MU-2 (or ready for a flight model that keeps you on your toes!), enjoy thorough checklist testing, and have time to run a few quick flights over the next day or two:

We are reaching the final stretch of the Mitsubishi MU-2K Solitaire rebuild, and I’m looking for just 2 or 3 fresh pairs of eyes to help run this latest candidate build through its paces before public release.
As anyone who knows the Solitaire can attest, she is definitely a handful—and we've worked hard to capture that true-to-life performance, sharp roll response, and unique handling characteristics.
Our core testing team has put in significant work, but with some real-life GPU hardware hiccups and final green-lights pending, a few extra community testers running full checklists would be a huge help to ensure we haven't missed any blind spots.Baseline Testing Note: All internal flight dynamics testing and tuning for this build were conducted using the bare minimum setup—an Xbox controller and keyboard with standard simulation assistance features turned off. We intentionally set the bar here to ensure raw, unassisted aerodynamic integrity. If she flies right on basic hardware, she will feel fantastic on full yokes, throttles, and rudder pedals!
What Needs Focused Testing & Evaluation
- Garrett TPE331 Engine & Fuel Logic:
- Cold-and-dark startups, Condition Lever transitions (RUN / TAXI / STOP), fuel flow behavior, and spool-up response.
- Ground Handling & Dynamic Gear Physics:
- Evaluate the tuned nose gear oleo compression ([CONTACT_POINTS]) during engine spool-up, static taxi, and dynamic load transfers—ensuring smooth absorption without tire clipping.
- Prop Blur & PBR Visuals:
- Test prop blur rendering under various lighting conditions (especially bright noon sun) to confirm visual density, transparency, and tip arc reflections.
- Flight Dynamics & Beta Range:
- General pitch/roll authority, flap responses (0, 5, 20, 40 degrees), and landing rollout / reverse beta behavior.
How to Participate
If you are familiar with the MU-2 (or ready for a flight model that keeps you on your toes!), enjoy thorough checklist testing, and have time to run a few quick flights over the next day or two:- Drop a reply below or send me a PM here on SOH.
- Let me know your setup (MSFS 2020 or 2024, controls/hardware profile).
- I’ll send over the candidate build link along with the brief testing notes.
