Texture size in FS9

In a recent thread on the stock Vega mods done by a member, it was mentioned how good the Vega could look if the texture size was increased to 2048 and done in a photo real paint. Can FS9 support 2048 sized textures? Or is that an exclusive to FSX?

Its an exclusive to FSX, unfortunately.


Now, in CFS3, they were able to insert a string in the config that stated 'max_texture_size=2048' and that worked, but it doesnt appear to work in FS9, perhaps a built in, hard wired limit.


I hate limits!!!!

Thanks LH....I am used to working with 1024 size textures from CFS2....which I am finding has a lot in common with FS9...the adaptability, the ease of tweaking, the ease of skinning, the huge libraries of add ons...like your Cessna AW Executive series which I just installed. NICE!
