TG Sims Bristol 188

TG Sims has released the Bristol 188 if anyone is interested. Available on Simmarket. There's a native 2024-version and a 2020-version (with 2024 compatibility). Never heard of this developer before. From the screenshots it reminds me a bit of the "old" Virtavia, meaning the cockpit looks a bit FSX-like IMHO.

Edit: since someone will be nagging about links, here's the Simmarket-link for the native 2024-version: https://secure.simmarket.com/tg-sims-bristol-188-for-msfs24.phtml

It was originally released as freeware a few years ago, then enhanced into a payware version. I have the freeware still, but the native 2024 update and the super-reasonable price means I'm going to spring for the payware version. Excited to fly it some more!

Here's the original threadL

The freeware version was mighty impressive:

I believe our own @tgladman is the author.

Didn't mean to slag off the developer with my observation regarding the cockpit:culpability:. Apologies to the dev if it came across that way. I mean, I couldn't do one millionth of a percent of what he's created. And where are you going to find a Bristol 188 for flight simulator?

Thank you DennyA and Lawman.
It's also a free update for anyone who has purchased the 2020 version on the Microsoft Marketplace or SimMarket.

Updates include:
  • MSFS2024 Native version. Not compatible with MSFS2020.
  • MSFS2024 EFB added.
  • GPU model added.
  • Walkaround removable Chocks, Pitot, Static and Engine Covers added.
  • Walkaround click spots for GPU, Open/Close Canopy and Aircraft Entry added.
  • New Hydraulic system.
  • New Fuel system.
  • New Electrical system.
  • Simulated Oxygen system added.
  • Updated Checklist.
  • Custom engine Glow, Wet Start, Smoke and Reheat effects.
  • Updated to MSFS2024 code.
  • External and Internal LOD’s added.
  • Updated textures including improved fuselage panel lines.
  • Updated Windshield effects, rain, icing, micro-scratches, smudges and thumb prints.
Sadly the last remaining aircraft, XF926 has been taken off display at Cosford and is now in storage. Hopefully it will be back on display soon and I can visit it again for more reference data.

I'm now working on my next aircraft which will be the English Electric P1A.
