The Austrian Scenery Thread

Nice , Nice ..wheres that Reutte scenery from ...is it freeware? Looks like my type of airport. Smallish GA airport stuck in the mountains

Brilliant Flying & videos Mate! I miss my FS9 Dash 7, perhaps it is time for a re-install of the AC and a proper flight?! Cheers! Mike :applause:

Thanks guys...
Mike, I was really pleased with the Dash, I haven't used it for some time but (with added VC) it is a pleasure to fly.
Feels like a new FS9 model all over again.

Paul, the sceneries on the tour map are all freeware with the exception of Innsbruck and Vienna.
They'll be on flightsim.com, Reutte is by Juergen Lechleitner.
Ideal for a bit of light twin sightseeing, on which topic:

I actually did a quick Austrian rego on the Justflight demo Duchess, but was distracted when I bought the Carenado Seneca:

It's a lovely aircraft, might go back to it sometime.

Two more sceneries to go, the payware Innsbruck, and Vienna, at each end of Austria.
I have so many screenshots I wondered if they could be incorporated in a video clip.
So here's the first salvo of three.
It should be watched in HD, and at a stretch, full screen.

Had a look at Camil Valiquette's Embraer P100 which is an aircraft I might like to own.
Camil has a penchant for doing animations attached to the aircraft which is a pity, given AES is there for the job.
A VC would've been nicer, but I tend to fly these from the 2D panel anyway.
A good exterior model I thought, let's drop it into some Austrian scenery.

A whole new world!
Winter has started, and "Soft Winter" textures have appeared in the sim.

Thought I'd try something different...here's a clip of screenshots, each followed by a short video following on.
It gives a sense of what was going on in the sim.
It's uploaded at 720p so can be watched in HD full-screen.
I just love looking at the ground textures as I fly over.
It's unedited, and I did nearly fly into the ground when the approach autopilot disconnected for some reason!
But that gave me an excuse to fly low with the lights illuminating the snow on the approach :)

Hello!

Here a few Screenshots from Austria.
The Sceneries are Photoreal, makes with Maps2bgl from Gunnar Dähling.

First Picture is Graz, my Hometown. the next three around Zell am See in Salzburg, and the last is the Wolfgangsee in the Salzkammergut

Franz LOWG

Franz the photoreal certainly gives an accurate picture of the place, which is nice to see.

I gave up on maps2bgl for two reasons:
- No autogen
- I couldn't figure out how to make a PR tile just big enough for say, an airport and immediate environment.
All my attempts created a huge area which generally included some bad photo areas too.

What's your take on Austria Professional?
