HI all, for Xmas,I recieved two new joysticks,the Logitech 3D Pro,and Saitek CyborgX.Both joysticks have to be returned on the 31 of Jan 2011,so I am keeping one,or returning both.I want to know if anybody has had some experience with either of these sticks? I have read pros,and cons,about both on the net,but looking for some advice.Thanks:salute:running win vista SP2,and winxpSP2.

I can't comment on the Logitech 3D Pro, not can I comment on the CyborgX. But I can comment on Saitek as I have been using a Saitek ST290Pro stick for the last 4 years or so and used a Cyborg Graphite before that.
I have had no real problems from the ST290Pro...other than a broken retaining pin on the primary trigger button....not the sticks fault, purely mine. I used this stick for CFS2 for a couple of years and sometimes, when firing on the enemy aircraft, I tend to squeeze the trigger extra hard. And in FS2004, the primary trigger is used for brakes...and when I am trying to bring the Alphasim C-141A to a stop on an 800 foot runway, I also tend to squeeze the trigger extra hard. This over stress caused the pin to break....I torn the stick apart and used some high strength epoxy to fix it.
I like the feel of the Saitek sticks with their external mounted spring tensioner thingie....centering is always spot on and the "weight" of the stick is right to my liking....it takes a bit of force to move the controls, thereby reducing the risk of too much stick input or too rapid of control changes.
I have used a lot of joysticks over the last 7 years...and the Saitek sticks have been the most comfortable to use. The size and shape of the handle feels natural in my hand. And the adjustable hand rest device makes things even nicer.

With my laptop I am using the Cyborg X and it is good. I only got it after Christmas last year so I am not sure how it will stack up against my ST290 which lasted for over 6 years and was only retired to pick up the CyborgX which has more buttons and two throttle levers.
I would keep the Saitek and return the Logitech myself.

For some reason no one ever mentions CH products, I have used the CH Fighterstick, pedals, throttle quad and throttle pro and ch yoke for about 8 years now and they have given me 0 problems ,except for one small problem with the stick ,which CH customer support went out of their way to fix the problem. They are the best ,for product reliability and customer support that I have delt with. Just my 2 cents worth
