The Catalina X is finally released.

Keep in mind it IS an aircaft that needs a lot of memory. Both main memory and GPU memory. So when you combine that with detailed scenery at high settings (and on Vista) you are pushing things.

Please note that is is a bit hard for us at this moment to handle multiple forums at this moment, we will read messages here, but can only answer when there is time left from our own forums....

The scenery I was flying over at that point was exceptionally complex. The settings I was using were also very high. Sorry. I should have made that more clear. However Vista64 actually makes my FS life a lot smoother, by allowing me to use 6Gb of RAM rather than 3...

Even with the stutters, however, it was still perfectly flyable... I'm off somewhere else in another one, as soon as I've made the food I'm supposed to have eaten two hours ago.

Thanks Mathijs (and Gajit for the sympathy:kilroy:)

Got it now and it's absolutely wonderfull. No framrate hit here (with my settings)
I will study her more, but I'm in love:engel016:.

Cheers, R.

Just though I would mention something that is a delight to see. Mathijs from Aerosoft seems to respond to questions and problems with incredible speed. He is working this forum and all the Aerosoft forums at the same time. This kind of support gets a big thank you from me. We have some great people involved in our hobby.

Very much appreciated Mathijs and Aerosoft

Call me weird or perverted but my favorite piece in it is this E-motor at the cockpit's top center, a real eye-catcher. Now if you'd hear it hum you'd want to demount and reuse it for your Garden pond pump. Cool stuff!
I really love the baked lighting/ambient occlusion setup in this cockpit, very thoughtfull composition.

I promised my self a Cat and a Bird dog regardless of financial position. So I'm going to stock up with baked beans and bread this week.:icon_lol:

Mathias that motor looks like it was a labour of love...so real you could touch it:ernae:
