Hello Gents, find out that you can add a very nice waterbomber effect to the catalina - it is called fx_fire_retardant and works perfect in FSX. Unfortunatly i could`nt remember were i found it. But if someone know the author of it i can ask him for his permission and load the effect here.

You must add the following line to the aircraft.cfg

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=00.00, 00.00, -18.0, fx_fire_retardant

To drop the water press the I-Key, to stop it press the I-Key again.

Great fun to use the Cat as a Waterbomber, with her sound it is amazing to
give full throttle after droping and get out of the Dangerzone.

The fire effect that JD Edmond did for my Bambi Bucket edition of the 412 had the same name. I'm guessing that it's the same effect, Jd Edmond did a fantastic job with this one. Is the effect your using red? I was going to develop a semi-permanent water/foam effect that could be used for all scooper aircraft. When I get around to it I'll upload it here to Sim-Outhouse.

PS, you could find Jd_Edmond over at Hovercontrol to see if he minds you uploading his fire effect. If you can't get ahold of him let me know and I'll see if I can track him down.
 
Hello Slund - yes it is red - and now i mean to remember ..... (old brain need some time ...). Fly a few rounds with the cat and do a few drops - it is that efect that you can see on the ground. Great orientation for the second drop and so on. Did you have the email-adress of JD ?

Where did ya get that Focke Achgelis Fa-61 in ya pic mate? i love experimental german aircrat and that looks like a decent model!!
 
It,s ready but I can,t upload at SOH cause I can,t log in to library anymore,avsim is still down at I have no idea how to use the aerosoft FTP. I might try flightsim next.
