I see it too in FSX SP2.

I didn't notice it because that angle isn't one I would normally view from. When time permits I'll see if Mario can have a look-see and figure out the "why & how" of it all. He's busy with other projects right now.

Seems as if the cockpit cover on top of the display modules is missing. The reason why you can see the background is that normally inside surfaces which are not shown are deleted for better performance.
Is the cover missing, you can see through the surface.
Not sure if this is an issue of the conversion.
