SOH ADMINISTRATIONPeter,
Have you found that F-16 a bit over powered? I find myself cursing around at less than 70% RPM to stay within the FAA speed restriction of 250 knots below 10,000 feet.

skyblazer3;494359 Or perhaps there is a letter of agreement between the FAA and the military concerning the issue. It would be interesting to know. Chris[/QUOTE said:It's not a letter of agreement, it's in the FAR-AIM. Also, T-38's do 300 knots in the pattern, even in ATA's of class C and D airspace, where the speed limit is 200 kts for the rest of us.
Peter,
I took a Cat-III bird with external tanks and bombs up to mach 2 and 80,000 feet.
Chris
Bone,
This pilot stuff is just one thing after another to learn. Thanks for the info.
Cheers,

You cannot fly over urban centres in Britain and when you do it's a strict noise rule infact there's no speed limit as such but a noise limit if you break that u get fined
and even your license revoked 200-300 is about the limit I think but I'm not sure only real world jockeys will know!
England is one big acoustic sensor these days
