The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Talking of Italy, has anyone heard from Carlo recently? He doesn't seem to have posted since late May, when he was about to go into hospital for a check-up.

I think it is Open House, so here is a two-parter to get things going - a wee dram for the aircraft, and a beer chaser if you can tell me where it is !

(Mike, have not heard from Carlo - have sent an e-mail today)

I think Chris must have known both - Belgian Short 827 on the shore of Lake Tanganyika, 1916

:very_drunk: :very_drunk: Take two drams instead, Chris - over to you -

A "Red Herring" aircraft I didn't want to do one so quick again. Said I don't drink beer let alone two. Thanks
Not a "Real" Pilot since I don't drink coffee either.

I would say that this is a modified Macchi MB.308, possibly for racing purposes.

Probably the first aircraft which I have identified by the door. :very_drunk:

It is the Caproni Ca.100 :encouragement:

I selected this perspective deliberately where the special arrangement of the wings isn't obvious and a Ca.100 with a Cirrus engine probably would have been too easy.

Over to you, Uli. :icon29:

Have ladder, will fly! Daniel Dalby's Cubchel, I think.

Edit: or maybe not - the wing struts are wrong for that and it appears to have ailerons.
