Talking of Italy, has anyone heard from Carlo recently? He doesn't seem to have posted since late May, when he was about to go into hospital for a check-up.

I would say that this is a modified Macchi MB.308, possibly for racing purposes.

Probably the first aircraft which I have identified by the door.

I selected this perspective deliberately where the special arrangement of the wings isn't obvious and a Ca.100 with a Cirrus engine probably would have been too easy.
