The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Everybody still on Christmas vacation? :very_drunk:

This is the first prototype of an aircraft which received a big Lycoming engine when produced in series later on.

Not quite, but close enough to me.
It is the precursor Do 25 of which two prototypes existed and which was developed into the Do 27.

Over to Texas :icon29:

Oops, could have done better there. Whenever anyone says something is easy it never is!

Going floatin'.

Found this picture of the Shaw Flying Boat in an ebay auction, seems to be the same aircraft and location.

Thanks, Kevin, not much in the net about the Shaw.

Let's try this biplane.

Thank you Robert. As with a lot of these types, identifying the engine set me on the right track, then 'Les Avions Renard'.

Here's something different - we haven't had a chopper for a while, and this is a nice neat little number..

In Aerofiles but no pic. Designed to provide cheap high-performance helicopter for private owners. Alas, reality took over......

Let's get this one out of the way. Helicopters were never really popular in this forum, although Walter occasionally threw one in..
This is the Meger Heli-Star from 1971. Based on the Enstrom.
OH, please, gentlemen.

It looks as if everyone is taking a Christmas/new year holiday from this thread. So here's something easy that, hopefully, won't last until 2021!

Yes, Moses, I would agree, probably the prototype Autocrat with the Cirrus engine?
Wishing you all a better & healthy 2021 & hope it brings a change of fortunes for those struck down with the virus.

If accepted as correct open house please. I like to look in to see what weird & wonderful aircraft have been made, but I don't have a data base from which to choose anything to baffle you stalwarts!
Keith

I'll second Keith's good wishes to everyone for 2021 - it just has to be better !

How about the Auster Avis G-AJXW with Gipsy Major ?

The clue here is the odd placement of the lower strut attachment point compared to all other Austers.
