The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hi Kevin:encouragement:
I removed the question mark so now your reply reads as Blume Bl-503. It is.
Registration D-EKUB and I understand that this was the original Bl-500 modified to Bl-503 (different engine).

Look forward to your next challenge

Knew it was a Blume and ran across the same photo.

And now for something completely different...

Haha....busted! That should be it on the Weymanns for awhile. At least until some obscure design surfaces...

:icon29: Suds for Mike.

Thanks Kevin. Yours truly is on yet another purge - 'Sober October'. The weight has to go. Mind you, if Scotland beat the Springboks on Saturday* it might be difficult to adhere to that...... (*it's the Rugby World Cup - not getting much exposure over the Pond, I gather.....)

Here's something nice and conventional -

Good luck with that Mike.

No news on rugby over here. That is one of those "exotic" European sports. :biggrin-new: We are heavily invested in getting the Texas Rangers (baseball) into the playoffs. If they can win 2 of 4 vs the Angels this weekend they can wrap up the West Division.

It may be an 'exotic European sport' (Australia ? South Africa? Japan? Argentina?) but the USA have a team in there too. Scotland managed to get the better of them.........!

AS for my mystery, the country of origin is not represented in the rugby world......

Your mystery reminds me of a PWS 21bis though I cannot make a real comparison as the pics I have of that polish airliner are horrible....
Cheers

I suspect it will be a case of 'Allez les Noirs', PH..........but it's early days yet.

However, in the meantime, BG now has a better photo of the P.W.S. 21bis ! :very_drunk: Good spotting, sir.

We have a team? Did not know that. Not completely USA-centric sports fan. I enjoy playing golf quite a bit and like watching Australian rules football. We have a curling club in the area that I keep saying I'm going to join one of these days!

Thanks Lefty and thanks for the nice pic of my (your) polish airliner!
Now here's my next mystery

Seen this one before. Have an idea of the country and year now hoping my memory will kick into gear...

Got it! it's the McCarthy Air Scout of 1925.

McCarthy

Air Scout 1925 = 2pChwM; 45hp Anzani; span: 26'0" length: 19'10" load: 460# v: 120/x/40 range: 300; ff: 1/15/25 (p: C D Swinson).
Semi-cantilever wing. In Jan 1926, Swinson flew it from the factory to Grand Rapids, some 18 miles, and even gained 3,000' altitude, in spite of one cylinder that blew off shortly after take-off!

Your turn now my friend!
Cheers

I have one I believe I know what it is but not 100% sure. Hopefully all you experts will help.
