The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

The twin with tunnel vision is the Binder B-24.
All I could find/gather is here:

4-seat sport
two 90hp Continental C90 piston engines
DETAILS: In 1958 Binder Aviatik KG started development of the 4-seat B-24 sport aircraft and a prototype was completed in September 1959. The forward fuselage and the wings were constructed by Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau KG and the aircraft underwent ground trials, but the project was terminated in 1960. The B-24 had a very unusual configuration with two large propellers turning in prominent shrouds and the aircraft was powered by two 90hp Continental C90 engines. Instead Binder Aviatik acquired a licence for the much more conventional Piel CP-30 Émeraude and then built an own variant as the CP-301S Smaragd (qv).
Production: 1 (unflown)

Open House please :jump:

How about a pretty amphibian to decipher?

BG, this is a Polikarpov IL-400, of the variant IL-3, I think - these old Russian designations are a trifle confusing....

Yes Lefty I have it as the final version of the Polikarpov I-1 (or IL-400). I think that Il-3 only applied to the 3rd prototype but I could be wrong as russian designations are at least whimsical!
Your turn please...
Cheers
BG

Thanks BG - here's an ugly bug - looks like someone got two different kits mixed up !

Hi Mike:encouragement:
Your bug is the X-3 Warrior by Alvin Ray Johns and Paul L. Wittmer. Accommodation for up to 5 and she could also haul freight. Fitted with Q/C cabin interior sothat she could be used for pax or freight. N1528V was started around 1947/1949 and first flew 13 September 1952. Very big wing for STOL performance. 190hp Lycoming O-435-1 engine.
Planned certification was dropped and N1528V soldiered on for many years.
Have also seen her named the Rason Warrior, but never fiound out what Rason stood for. Any hints?

Thank tou Mike:encouragement:
This one belongs to recent history. After this photo was taken, she was modified and somewhat looked more like Jayne Mansfield.

B-26 conversion indeed, Dan, but not the On Mark. This one had a considerably deepened fuselage to incorporate up to 14 passengers..

Hmm. Rhodes Berry Silver 60 N5510V ?

And if I'm right, Open House please. I'll be travelling the next 2-3 days and wouldn't be able to run a challenge.
