• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

Lockheed R6V Constitution

It should be ship no.1, BuNo 85163. Remains of the phrase “YOUR NAVY—AIR AND SEA” painted in large letters on the fuselage sides might still be visible.

As to the grass I am not so sure: Presumably Litchfield Park, Arizona but it could also be in Las Vegas, Nevada or Opa- Locka, Florida (if it were ship no.2).

Quite right my friend and thanks for the lecture.....we are talking about the second Aircraft Bu 85164 corresponding to reg. number N7673C (which I erased) and the airport was off Opa-Locka airfield (see 1000 Aircraftphotos.com).
Your turn now...

Thanks BG. I thought the upper arch of the letter 'C' would belong to a '3'.

I think I've got a stumper. I heard about this one and looked on Google. Found the google pix but not the webpage long gone. One thing I don't like about some forum where the old pix's are long gone or the webpages are long gone.
Anyway this one did fly and found some more info on it with the same pix but bigger sorry for the quality.

Chris

It might be difficult to identify this one truthfully. I knew a test pilot in that country very well but unfortunately he died in an accident several years ago. :(

It’s a country that extends over many islands. It has its own aircraft industry. It is famous for its jungles with volcanoes, antropoides and many other rare animals.
