The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hi Chris:encouragement:
Please, may I still play if I now point my arrows at the Fuji CMH (FB204J), a modified Bell 204B for high speed trials?

I think its a Zlin of some description, possibly an early Acrobat? Cannot find a photo like it so far.
Keith

Edit ? a Z 226A ?

Hi giruXX:very_drunk:
That is her. One of (I believe) some 14 Zlin Z-26s modified in Poland into single-seaters with front cockpit removed and a new fuel system for advanced aerobatics. The modification was initially developed for pilot Stanislaw Kasperek (hence the name Super Kasper Akrobat) who became 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] in the 1963 world championship aerobatics in the aircraft.
Strangely, the Z-26 was not built as single-seater by Zlín itself.
We anticipate your next challenge!

Sorry Keith, you were on the right track, but the Z-226A and Z-26 had some major (structural/engine) differences.

Hi fellows! Reading this on my tablet by the poolside in Funchal, but even though I am logged in, can't see any images. Is there a tweak ?

Anybody else with the same problem? I can't repeat it not even with my mobile phone, I.e. different hardware and software.

Hi wout :icon29: It is indeed a Goodyear GA-400R Gizmo!

I don't know which one it is (I thought it would be the first since the photo is from 1955)

Thanks giruXX :encouragement:
On second thought, you are probably right and your photo shows no.1 with the short rotormast.
Here is a photo of GA-400R-3 with a much taller mast (and other mods).
My next challllenge will follow in a couple of minutes
